I always thought responsive design would be this giant hurdle costing my clients a lot of money and me a lot of headache.
This book clearly describes how it is not, it's about creating one fluid design, then making minor tweaks at each breaking level to ensure it's always a smooth transition.
The wittiness of the author ensures it's not a boring read as well!
Time to go and apply this.

Every web developer should read this book! Ethan Marcotte gets to the point quickly and explains how to make a website that supports the majority of mobile browsers while providing increasingly better experiences for larger displays.

This book comes at a time when the landscape for web design is getting awfully crowded. The approach presented in the book makes revolutionary sense and gives an invaluable tool to web designers/developers to eliminate in most cases extra markups for different devices. The timing couldn't have been better. A great read.
