Using Library items

Library items are reusable bits of HTML—paragraphs, links, copyright notices, navigation bars, tables, images—that you use frequently within a website. You can use an existing page element or create original Library items and add copies of them where needed. When you update a Library item, Dreamweaver updates every page that uses that item. In seconds, the pages are updated, and those updated pages can be uploaded to the server for display on a live website.

Creating a Library item

In this exercise, you’ll make the site menu into a Library item and add the Library item to every page in the site.
