2.5. Summary

During this chapter, you mapped out a website, beginning with brainstorming, and concluding with a structure that you can begin designing around. You also set up a folder structure on your hard drive, and put in all the relevant folders, so you can easily retrieve items at a later date.

Your site is to be primarily based around the photography, but will also contain supplementary information, such as a profile, some news items, and a method to enable visitors to contact us. Said visitors are likely to be the general public and commissioning editors, but perhaps also designers and people who want to buy prints. All must be catered for, and the potential age range means that the visual design shouldn't conform to any temporary trends and fads, and that the site must be easy to use.
