CONCLUSION

In this chapter, the authors have presented an overview of accessibility evaluation and its role in the web engineering process.

It has presented a view of accessibility from the point of view of the users and their goals, and what challenges they are presented with when interacting with web applications. These challenges were related to the technologies through which the user interacts with as well as the types of content present in web applications. A case has been made that users that encounter accessibility issues on websites, be they people with disabilities or older adults, represent a large market that is going to become more important in the knowledge economy.
