Working with PDF Forms

The PDFs we’ve been using are all flat, with no interactivity. ColdFusion wouldn’t be complete without the ability to manage and manipulate PDF forms.

Just about every Web site has an HTML form of some sort to collect user information, sign up users for a newsletter, and so on. PDF forms aren’t much different from HTML forms. They elicit information from the user, and upon submission or saving, the information is transmitted to a Web page for processing. ColdFusion now has the capability to manage PDF form submissions as well as manipulate the content.
