Building Hybrid Layouts
As we discussed in Chapter 1, hybrid layouts mix units of measurements between columns. You can add one or more fixed-width columns onto your existing liquid or elastic layout to create a design that is still flexible overall—just to a lesser degree than fully liquid or elastic layouts.
