Chapter 3. Form Dijits: Combo Boxes, Toggles, and More

3. Form Dijits: Combo Boxes, Toggles, and More

Dojo is packed with dozens of Dijits, and they’re the draw that most often brings programmers to Dojo. In the previous chapter, we got started with Dojo form elements, but Dojo has plenty more to offer. In this chapter, we’ll look at Dojo check boxes, radio buttons, combo boxes, toggle buttons, multiselect selection controls, sliders, drop-down menu buttons, and combo buttons.

Some of the Dojo form Dijits, such as check boxes and radio buttons, mimic standard HTML controls, and others, such as sliders and number spinners, have no counterparts in HTML. But all can be styled with Dojo styles, and you can use Dojo methods on them, such as connect and byId, as you’ll see as we continue our guided tour of form Dijits.
