PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS
Performance is “the execution of an action or something accomplished.”9 What does this mean in the context of a website? Depending on whom you ask, it could mean several things:
- Response time — This is the time it takes for a page to load.
- Site success or popularity — Often, this is measured by the number of hits a site gets. More hits tend to indicate the site offers a product the audience wants.
- Usability — This is associated with whether the users of the site can perform the tasks they need to.
- Defects — The site performs without errors or bugs.
