In this book, we show you how to implement features that you may have thought would never be possible in the confines of your run-of-the-mill browser, such as the features shown in Figure 1.1: moveable, resizable windows inside your browser; scrolling viewports that support user gestures to animate scrolling, very similar to the animated scrolling found in Apple’s iPhone; a Rolodex that lets you edit entries in a pop-up panel; and a drag-and-drop framework.
