Chapter 10. Database Editor Application > Using Dialogs for Editing and Creatin...

Using Dialogs for Editing and Creating Objects

Both the User and Story objects have dialogs defined for editing and creating objects, called UserDialog and StoryDialog, respectively. The UserDialog displays when users click on the edit command in the User View and the create command in the UserListView. The StoryDialog displays when users click on the edit command in the StoryView and on the create command in the StoryListView. These same dialogs are used for creating and editing since they both need to provide the same editable fields. When the dialogs display they hover over the rest of the application, and users must click the Ok or Cancel button to return to the application. For example, the Create Story dialog (StoryDialog) shown in Figure 10-12 displays when users click the create command.
