Submit and Reset Buttons

A Submit Button will allow the information that the user has typed into your form to be sent to the CGI script on the server. A Reset Button will allow the user to automatically clear the text that has been typed into the form.

Student Activity: Add Submit and Reset Buttons

1.	Insert a Submit button. click after the multi-line text field you added press [Enter] to create a new paragraph choose Insert > HTML > Form > Submit Button The button appears on your screen. Next you will change the words that appear on the button face.
2.	Format the button. double-click the Submit Query button replace the Button caption with All Done click OK
3.	Add a Reset button. click after the All Done button and press [spacebar] twice choose Insert > HTML > Form > Reset Button
4.	Preview the topic.
5.	Triple-click the text “Please replace this text with your comments” in the text field and replace it with This is just a test of my form.
6.	Click the Reset button to clear the form.
7.	Close the preview window.
8.	Save your work.
