    Find and Replace Content

    The Find and Replace window gives you the ability to change phrases or words for multiple topics in a project.

    Student Activity: Find and Replace Text

    1.
    Display the Find and Replace window.

    • choose Edit > Find and Replace in Files

    2.
    Replace a word with a phrase.

    • type manual into the Find area

    • type help system into the Replace area

    • click the Browse button to the right of the Where field

    • select the RoboHelp8Data folder on the C drive

    • open the RoboHelpProjects folder

    • open the CSS folder

    • click OK

    • click the Find button

    The policies project will be searched and any occurrences of the word manual will be found.

    • click the Replace All button (there are a lot of buttons—the Replace All button is at the right center of the dialog box)

    You will be alerted that six changes were made to two topics.

    • click OK

    • click Close to close the Find and Replace in Files window
