Working in Code View

Most users of WYSIWYG design tools aren’t too interested in digging into the code that makes up a Web page. In fact, the code that Expression Web generates is clean and efficient enough to make digging into the code unnecessary in almost all cases. However, there are still times when you might want to add content in code or modify existing code, if for no other reason than to learn more about HTML, CSS, and scripting.

Expression Web will mark invalid code in Code View by adding a squiggly, red underline to it. It will also mark some code errors (such as missing closing tags) by highlighting them in yellow. These visual indicators are a great bonus when trying to locate code problems.
