Chapter 6. Working with Web Page Media > Previewing and Playing Media

Previewing and Playing Media

After you insert a media object into a Web page, you can preview it in Design view (New!) and in your Web browser. Before you can play Flash or Windows media or edit media properties, you need to have the latest Adobe Flash Player or Windows Media Player installed on your computer, which you can download for free at www.adobe.com or www.microsoft.com. If you open a Web page with an unsigned or unknown media-related ActiveX control, such as Apple QuickTime (MOV), Motion Picture Experts Group (MPEG), or RealVideo (RAM), and grant permission to run it, you can preview and play the media objects.
