Chapter 12. Using Bento Records, Fields,... > Introducing the View Types on Mac OS...

Introducing the View Types on Mac OS X

The fields represent the structure of the database. What you care about most of the time is your data. Here is where Bento really shines in the world of mobile devices. On Mac OS X, there are three types of Bento views: table, grid, and form views. The table and grid views are created automatically for you based on the structure of your database. You design your own form views, and you can customize their appearance.

On Bento for iPhone and Bento for iPad, the automatically created table and grid views are not used, but as you will see, some of their features are automatically integrated into the interface. Form views for the iOS devices are generated automatically by Bento.
