The PivotViewer

You've now considered a wide variety of data controls that work with Silverlight applications. One detail that all of these controls share is their flexibility. Using a combination of lists, grids, forms, and trees, you can build virtually any sort of user interface you need.

The PivotViewer is an entirely different sort of data control. It's designed around a specific scenario (data visualization and analysis) and outfitted with a number of high-level features. The advantage of the PivotViewer is that you get a polished interface that requires very little code. The drawback is that your customization options are more limited. If the PivotViewer doesn't quite meet your needs, you probably won't be able to alter or extend it to fit your project.
