This video is a good general overview of different techniques to keep in mind when composing a photograph. Topics discussed include: exposure, light, line, shapes, patterns, color, spatial relationships, and last but probably one of the best sections was on using photoshop to "dodge" and "burn" your photographs manually. At the end of each section "homework" assignments were given for you to practice what you have learned.
Unfortunately, though, I felt that many important ideas were left out including lens selection, reading histogram data, color balance, and more. Likewise many modes and setting used in this particular video were heavily dependent on owning a canon brand camera.
Overall, I'd say if you have an hour its worth watching just to open your mind or even refresh your mind about basic concepts when composing a photo.
